Malladi Krishna Rao
Malladi Krishna Rao is a politician of All India N.R. Congress and was Minister for Revenue includes Mines, Excise, Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sports & Fisheries for the Govt. of Puducherry.〔 (The Hindu )〕
He was continuously won twice as an Independent candidate and once as an Indian National Congress candidate in MLA elections and got the highest majority in Yanam for the first time. He is the first Yanam citizen to become the minister in Government of Puducherry in 2007.
He was awarded as the Best MLA Award twice from the Lieutenant Governors of Puducherry. In his term in politics from 1996 there has been a huge development took place and Yanam stood the best constituency in Puducherry as compared to the development growth-rate. Malladi is one of the key members to command the Puducherry politics as well as some of the districts of Andhra Pradesh.〔 (Yanam MLA May Cross Over to AINRC Ahead of 2016 Poll )〕
On May 18, 2015, it was announced that Malladi is likely to quit the Indian National Congress by the end of the month and formalize his association with the AINRC.〔(New Indian Express ) 〕
